You know the one I’m talking about. That coworker who just gets you. They’re the first to slide into your DMs when they see a bug in production. They know exactly how many minutes into the meeting your patience will wear thin. They can decode your half-baked ideas like it’s their native language.

They’re the work bestie, the human Slackbot, the co-conspirator in every “What if we tried this…” moment. They don’t just work with you—they work for you, in the best way possible.

Here’s the thing: in SaaS, these people aren’t a luxury. They’re the glue. The secret sauce. The reason projects don’t fall apart when the roadmap gets bumpy or the customer gets cranky.

So, if you’ve got that person, tell them. Thank them. And if you don’t—maybe it’s time to be that person for someone else.

Because in this industry, we don’t just build software. We build each other up.
